This is a Dossier I created as part of an application to work with Jonathan Barnbrook, It contains a small selection of my work, a letter, and a photo of the first thing I see of my city when I leave my residence, as to suit the brief.

AS-A-RISK

AS-A-RISK is a project that tackles the brief to "promote risk", this project is based on Facebook and I have also created posters, flyers, stickers, and other informative pieces of media to promote this page. The page is still up but isn't being pushed anymore due to a lack of time. The idea of the page is to promote any sort of risk be it high guerrilla art based risks, or minor social related risks, no matter how big or small, they can all pay dividends, on the Facebook page I urged people to talk about these risks and discuss the consequences to encourage others towards a more exciting lifestyle.

RED
This project involved using a Billboard format to advertise a mock company, the advert and company name had to be based around a colour and an object that we had previously drawn. I chose a drawing of craft knives and was allocated the colour red, thus REDesign, and the adverts message of "cutting edge design".

FRAMING THE HUMAN FACE
These posters were designed to advertise a 2010 exhibition at The Photographers Gallery, the idea of the posters was to highlight the main theme of the exhibition, framing the human face, to do this we were told to use three geometric shapes, to highlight interesting aspects of the images that we have taken. One I didn't actually create, the peep hole in my door to create the circle image, the triangle image was created using a lens with cut out shape at the end, and the rectangular image, made using a small box with a square cut out of it, to put over the flash, thus forcing light out in a rectangle on a dark room.

THE LITERARY SOCIETY BOOKLET
These posters are part of a project aimed at promoting great literature of the 20th Century, the first is the actual poster that would be available for the public, it has a slit down the centre of the middle two rows, which enables it to fold down into a booklet, this is then readable and contains all of the information, as well as a front and back cover. The second poster is a promotional poster, I have simplified it and changed the colouring to demonstrate an aesthetic that relates to the principle of enjoying what you are reading or looking at.
VINYL COVER
Vinyl cover designs for the Johnny Cash single 'Mercy Seat'.
In this project I aimed to use as few lyrics as possible to complete the briefs specification of including track lyrics in the designs. I used the lyrics "lie" and "die", two that I feel some up the track in a simple and moving way.
I have also chosen to put the tracks title and information on the vinyl as apposed to the sleeve to intrigue and lead the viewer into the design and into the sleeve.
